The mission of Maternity Care Coalition is to improve maternal and child health and well-being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers, and communities in Southeastern Pennsylvania. MCC envisions a future in which all families receive solid support throughout the critical period of pregnancy through age three in a manner that enables lifelong health and well-being.
Through the years, Horizon House has responded to the needs of individuals by broadening its scope of programs and services for adults with behavioral health needs, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and the homeless. Our goal is for everyone we serve to have the opportunity for growth, community, and quality of life.
- HOW TO HELP:
Serving about 20,000 individuals annually, Gaudenzia operates 147 drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. Services include specialty programs for pregnant and parenting mothers, adolescents, and people suffering from co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse.
Turning Points for Children envisions a thriving community for all. Turning Points for Children brings social and health services to vulnerable people. Our work is built on the foundations of wellness, safety, diversity and collaboration. We believe in the power of resilience and possibility.
- HOW TO HELP: Volunteer; provide support; come to events; help prepare Care Kits for children entering Foster care.
